My Renault app shows unbelievably high state of charge

This problem occurs every now and then, after the charging has been completed:

The charging limit has been set to 80%, and the car has finished charging at 81% (as described in my earlier post about rounding errors). The charging cable is still connected.

But, My Renault shows 89% for the state of charge. (Or 88%, or 90%, whatever it happens to show, it varies.)

That is not within any rounding errors anymore.

This error is not caused by the My Renault mobile app because the same value is shown in third party apps as well, so the faulty SoC value comes from the Renault servers.

Why do Renault servers report this incorrect 89% (or so) SoC when the car itself has only been charged to 81%? Are they mixing up the data from another customer?

Update on 2026-07-07: This problem still occurs every now and then. For example, currently the car is at 72%, but My Renault app (and third-party apps as well) is showing 87%.
