Preconditioning cannot be started with My Renault app

Image
It's winter here in Finland, even in Southern Finland it has been -10°C .. -25°C these weeks. It would be nice to start the preconditioning before jumping to my Scenic E-Tech! Unfortunately, since last fall, My Renault has performed very poorly when trying to start the preconditioning (cabin heating, that is). Update on 2026-02-24: The My Renault app remote functions have now worked four days here for me. I have heard similar comments from other Renault E-Tech electric drivers as well. In short: it all looks very good right now! Let's hope this really is now the end of the problems. The original post follows: The errors  There are two usual failure modes after clicking the Preconditioning button (that's "Ilmastointi" here in Finland) in the app: 1. The app waits for one minute and then gives the error message:    In English version that is: "No vehicle response Your request has been sent correctly. However, the response time does not allow us to confirm its s...

My Renault app shows unbelievably high state of charge

Image
This problem occurs every now and then, after the charging has been completed:   The charging limit has been set to 80%, and the car has finished charging at 81% (as described in my earlier post about rounding errors ). The charging cable is still connected. But, My Renault shows 89% for the state of charge .   (Or 88%, or 90%, whatever it happens to show, it varies.) That is not within any rounding errors anymore. This error is not caused by the My Renault mobile app because the same value is shown in third party apps as well, so the faulty SoC value comes from the Renault servers. Why do Renault servers report this incorrect 89% (or so) SoC when the car itself has only been charged to 81%? Are they mixing up the data from another customer?

Rounding errors

When car shows 12345 km, My Renault app can show 12346 km. When the charging limit is set to 80%, car shows charging stopped at 81%. Why can't the Renault software developers and/or development teams agree about the metrics and roundings? What other - possibly safety-related - values are they internally interpreting ambiguously?

My Renault app is showing incorrect starting time for charging on iPadOS

Image
Update on 2026-02-21: This issue does not seem to be present anymore on app version 6.10.0 on iPadOS. The original post: On My Renault app version 6.9.2 on iPadOS: At 12:42 (the clock is on top left) it is saying in the app screen that charging schedule is set and charging will start at 12:42. That's double failure : The charging schedule is not active at the moment, and the saved schedule is not set to start at 12:42. If I then go to the charging schedules, it shows some fictional starting and ending times, based on current time, not the actual previously saved starting and ending times. This problem does not exist in My Renault app version 6.9.5 on Android.

My Renault app icon is faulty on iPadOS

Image
This problem has existed ever since I started using My Renault app on iPadOS, that is since October 2024, on whatever My Renault app version it was back then (5.x?). Currently the problem is: Right after the app install the icon looks like this: But, after touching it (like moving it or starting the app) it starts looking like this for the rest of the time: As far as I understand it, it means that the app does not have the correct icon(s) embedded, thus the system shows the spiderweb placeholder for the icon. No iPadOS upgrade or My Renault app upgrade or reinstall affects this problem. No other app has this problem. I have informed the My Renault app development team about this first time in their official Apple App Store contact information over a year ago, again several months later, no responses, no fix. I have also contacted the My Renault representative address at renault.com, no response, no fix. Currently running My Renault app version 6.9.2, iPadOS version 26.2.1, on iPad Pro ...
